About Natasha

Explore the Fascinating Realm of Bird Species

Natasha C. Kline recently retired from a 31 year career as a biologist.

She worked on many wildlife management issues throughout the U.S. for various federal land management agencies, including the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Air Force, National Park Service and Forest Service. She has studied sea birds and bald eagles in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska; ospreys, alligators, deer and wading birds in Everglades National Park; raptors, songbirds and waterfowl in Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve and Grand Canyon National Park; and threatened and endangered raptors in Saguaro National Park and the Kaibab National Forest, specifically cactus ferruginous pygmy-owls, Mexican spotted owls, Apache and northern goshawks, and California condors. Her research interests/expertise included vertebrate (particularly avian) ecology and conservation biology, with an emphasis on quantifying and mitigating anthropogenic impacts, such as roads and development, to wildlife and ecosystems.

Natasha has a BS degree in Biology (UC Davis) and an MS degree in Biology (University of Miami).
